Feeling each second like it was fully mine

Open to change and vulnerable to the unknown

An echo of my past and a symbol of the future

How much there is to see in so little a time

Grow with each word and each sentence builds

It creates with it a story for the wise to behold

It constructs a castle full of history and whispers

Where armies slay dragons and Kings make rules

Where fires burn down libraries and disintegrate fools

Burning books and the last pages left

The smoke and ashes won’t wash away his best

As history writes itself it shines into the day

Tomorrow he will write better than he did today

We create our own end by not recognising our true worth

Until others talk about us while our bones are swallowed by the earth
